CWNA Meeting July 15: Presentation of Development Proposed for "Baldwin Motel" Site (Washington between Moore & Meier)

Culver West Park Community Room
Tuesday, July 15 @ 7:30pm

12803 W. Washington Blvd.

Section Through Proposal for 12803 W. Washington Blvd

The Culver City Redevelopment Agency has agreed to sell the site listed above to a developer who proposes to build a project that will have ground floor retail and 8 office condominiums (for sale office space). It will also provide 21 additional metered public parking spaces beyond what is required for the building itself.

The Planning Commission public hearing for this project is coming up in August, so this is a great opportunity to learn about it beforehand.

More information on this project from an earlier Redevelopment Agency meeting can be found on the City's website.

While the Baldwin Motel site project is the focus of this meeting, there will also be an opportunity to hear a bit about some of the other things happening in our part of town, including updates on: streetscape improvements, Washington/Centinela, the Crest House, Shakey's, a business facade improvement plan, and more.

Culver City Music Festival at City Hall Every Thursday Evening Through August!

City Hall Courtyard
9770 Culver Blvd
Thursdays Through August @ 7pm

The 14th Annual Culver City Music Festival kicks off this Thursday!

Presented by the Culver City Redevelopment Agency and supported by local sponsors, this year's series features an assortment of styles that includes swing, classic rock, jazz, bluegrass, r&b, zydeco, and more.

Go to CulverCityMusic.org for more information!

Three New Streetlights to be Installed on Wade Street

At the request of the City of Culver City, Southern California Edison will be installing three new streetlights on Wade Street. The additional lighting will improve the safety of the neighborhood. Edison has created the work order and the work is expected to commence within approximately one month.

Culver West Park Improvements Nearing Completion

The Culver West Park improvement work is nearing completion!

The demolition of the vacated restroom is complete. The new jogging trail and enlarged picnic area are nearly finished, and a new piece of play equipment has been installed. Many new trees have been planted, as well as additional landscaping. The improvements will include new security lighting, fencing around the north side of the tot lot, and several other minor features. The "pooch path" markings have been painted; dogs may be walked through the park on the designated sidewalks.

The field will remain fenced off to protect the new turf - probably until late in the summer.
